Chariot Ltd. signed a pipeline tie-in agreement with the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines (ONHYM) securing access to the Maghreb Europe Gas Pipeline (GME) in Morocco.

The agreement will enable gas produced from the Anchois project, offshore Morocco, to be transported via the ONHYM owned and operated pipeline—which runs from eastern Morocco through to Tangiers in the north and subsequently across to Spain—to potential offtakers.

Anchois lies in the Lixus license which covers an area of about 1,794 sq km with water depths ranging from coastline to 850 m. Updated independent assessments made in 2022 estimate the project has 637 bcf 2C contingent resources and 754 bcf 2U prospective resources.

Chariot is operator at Lixus (75%). ONHYM holds the remaining 25%. (OGJ Online, Mar. 31, 2022).
