Tullow Ghana Ltd. has let an integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (iEPCI) contract to TechnipFMC for the Jubilee South East development offshore Ghana.

Jubilee South East is an extension to Jubilee field. The contract—valued by the service provider at $75-250 million—covers supply and offshore installation of all major subsea equipment, including manifolds and associated controls, flexible risers and flowlines, umbilicals, and subsea structures.

Tullow noted in April the start of a multi-year drilling campaign in Ghana. The operator plans to drill four wells this year—two Jubilee production wells, one Jubilee water injector well, and one TEN gas injector well. The first Jubilee production well and the Jubilee water injector well have been drilled, and the reservoirs encountered are in line with expectations, the company said in a June 16 release. The rig will now carry out the completion of the two wells with tie-in and start-up of both wells expected in this year’s third quarter.

Net production from Jubilee field was 29,500 b/d of oil in 2020 and is expected to average around 24,300 b/d in 2021.
