Tullow Oil plc will expand Jubilee development offshore Ghana based on the success of the 2026 drilling program.
The 2026 drill schedule includes the third of six Jubilee wells (J76-P) expected onstream this week. Logging results of the well are supportive of a strong production well, the company said.
The remaining two producer wells (J77-P and J50-P) are expected onstream in June and July, with the final well (water injection) due onstream in September.
The Greater Jubilee Plan of Further Development has been approved by the Minister of Energy, which confirms support for further drilling of up to 20 wells at Jubilee after the end of the current campaign.
Jubilee field straddles both the West Cape Three Points and Deepwater Tano blocks. Success at Jubilee was due to identification of the overlooked Upper Cretaceous structural-stratigraphic play concept along the Transform Margin of Africa.
Tullow is operator of the Jubilee unit area with 38.98% interest. Partners are Kosmos Energy (38.61%), GNPC (19.69%), and PetroSA (2.72%).
