Production from the Bruce platform in northern UK North Sea has restarted, Serica Energy Plc said Mar. 9. Production was halted in January as work was carried out to secure an unused caisson, which was found to be in a deteriorated condition. Production from Bruce, Keith, and Rhum fields is expected to be fully restored over the coming days.

Production was restarted sooner than anticipated, said Serica chief executive Mitch Flegg, and the work will have no negative impact on future production rates or on the ultimate recovery of reserves from the fields.

Serica is operator of Bruce, Keith, and Rhum fields with a 98% interest in Bruce field, a 100% interest in Keith field, and a 50% interest in Rhum field.
