Serica Energy Co. has let a 3-year contract extension for maintenance services on the Bruce platform complex in the UK North Sea to Petrofac Ltd.
Bruce comprises three bridge-linked platforms including a production, utilities and quarters platform, a drilling platform, and a compression-reception platform (OGJ Online Feb. 7, 2022).
Under terms of the agreement, Petrofac will continue with maintenance and metering services for the complex which processes production from Serica’s Bruce, Keith, and Rhum fields.
The contract was amended in 2019 to include metering engineering services through deployment of dedicated onshore and offshore personnel.
Serica Energy is operator of Bruce (98%) after acquiring field interests from BP, Total E&P UK, BHP Billiton Petroleum Great Britain, and Marubeni Oil & Gas (UK) in 2018 (OGJ Online, Nov. 30, 2018).
