Vår Energi extends contract for Ringhorne

Vår Energi ASA has let a 2-year contract extension to KCA Deutag to provide for offshore drilling and maintenance services on the Ringhorne platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

Vår Energi ASA has let a 2-year contract extension to KCA Deutag to provide offshore drilling and maintenance services on the Ringhorne platform in the Norwegian North Sea. The award extends the contract to March 2026.

Ringhorne field is equipped with a platform which produces and sends oil and gas to the Balder floating production unit (FPU), about 9 km away, for final process, storage, and export. Production at Ringhorne started in 2003 (OGJ Online, Aug. 4, 2023).

Vår Energi is operator of the field.
