NPD grants Equinor drilling permit in the Norwegian Sea

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Equinor Energy AS a drilling permit in the Norwegian Sea for well 6407/11-1, which will be drilled using Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Bergen semisubmersible drilling rig.

The well, to be drilled 17 km southeast of Njord field, is the first to be drilled in production license 751.

Equinor is the operator with 80% interest. Petoro holds 20%.

The area in this permit consists of the largest part of Block 6407/11.
