Equinor Energy AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for wildcat well 6607/12-5 in the Norwegian Sea.
The well will be drilled by the Deepsea Stavanger drilling rig in production license (PL) 943.
Equinor is operator of the license (30%) with partners DNO Norge AS (30%), Sval Energi AS (30%) and Aker BP ASA (10%).
