Equinor granted permit for Norwegian Sea drilling

Equinor Energy AS had been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill wildcat Well 6406/5-2 S in the Norwegian Sea.

The well will be drilled in production license (PL) 255 B by the Deepsea Stavanger semi-submersible drilling rig in March 2023.

Equinor is operator of the license with 35% interest. Partners are TotalEnergies EP Norge (35%) and Petoro (30%).
