Equinor granted Norwegian Sea drilling permit

Oil and gas exploration well 6407/1-B-2 H is expected to be drilled in production license 1121 by the Transocean Encourage semisubmersible drilling rig in October 2025.

Equinor Energy AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate to drill a well in the Norwegian Sea.

Exploration well 6407/1-B-2 H is expected to be drilled in production license 1121 by the Transocean Encourage semisubmersible drilling rig in October 2025.

Equinor is operator of the license with 36.247% interest. Partners are TotalEnergies EP Norge AS (29.143%), Petoro AS (22.52%), and Vår Energi ASA (12.09%).
