Lundin granted North Sea drilling permit

Lundin Energy Norway received a permit from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill a North Sea well in production license 359.

Well 16/4-13 S, the sixth in the license, will be drilled from the West Bollsta drilling rig about 6 km northwest of discovery well 16/4-6 S on Solveig field. Drilling will take place after concluding the drilling of Lundin’s Barents Sea wildcat well 7219/11-1 in production license 533 B (OGJ Online, May 12, 2020).

The area in license 359 consists of the northeastern part of Block 16/4.

Lundin is operator with 65% interest. Partners are OMV (Norge) AS (20%) and Wintershall Dea Norge AS (15%).
