Equinor Energy AS has been granted a drilling permit for 35/10-5 in production license 827 S in the northern part of the North Sea by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
The well will be drilled about 11 km southwest of Vega field using Seadrill Ltd.’s West Hercules semisubmersible drilling facility.
This is the first well to be drilled in the license. The area in PL 827 S consists of parts of Block 35/10.
Equinor is operator with 70%. DNO Norge AS holds 30%.
