Equinor granted North Sea drilling permit

Equinor Energy AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an appraisal well in the North Sea.

Well 16/2-23 S, in production license 265, is expected to be drilled in December by the Deepsea Stavanger semisubmersible drilling rig.

Equinor is operator with 42.62% interest. Partners are Petoro AS (30%), Aker BP ASA (20%), and ABP Norway AS (7.38%).
