The international rig count for July reached 1,162, an increase of 24 units from June and up 165 units from July 2018, according to Baker Hughes. The international offshore rig count for July was 255, up 9 units from June and up 38 units from July 2018.

The average US rig count for July was 955, down 14 units from June and down 95 units from July 2018.

Europe is up 7 units with 200 in July and up 120 units year-over-year. Effective June 7, Ukraine has been added to the Baker Hughes International Rig Count.

Latin America is up 12 units from the previous month at 201 and up 11 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is down 1 unit to 226 and down 3 units from its year-ago average.

The Middle East is up 11 units month-over-month to 424 and up 24 units year-over-year.

The average Canadian rig count for July was 121, up 7 units from June and down 83 units from 204 counted in July 2018.
