The international rig count for June reached 1,138, up 12 units from the 1,126 counted in May and up 179 units from the 959 counted in June 2018, according to Baker Hughes data.

The international offshore rig count for June was 246, up 6 units from the 240 counted in May and up 51 units from the 195 counted in June 2018.

The worldwide rig count for June was 2,221, up 39 units from the 2,182 counted in May and up 69 units from the 2,152 counted in June 2018.

The average US rig count for June was 969, down 17 units from the 986 counted in May and down 87 units from the 1,056 counted in June 2018.

Europe is up 7 units with 193 in June and up 115 units year-over-year. Effective June 7, Ukraine has been added to the Baker Hughes International Rig Count.

Latin America is up 10 units from the previous month at 189 and up 9 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is down 1 unit to 227 and up 12 units from its year-ago average.

The Middle East is up 3 units month-over-month to 413 and up 21 units year-over-year.

The average Canadian rig count for June was 114, up 44 units from the 70 counted in May and down 23 units from the 137 counted in June 2018.
