NGL Energy Partners LP has launched a binding open season for its wholly owned affiliate Grand Mesa Pipeline LLC’s crude oil pipeline that originates in Weld County, Colo., and extends 550 miles southeast to NGL’s crude storage terminal at Cushing, Okla.

Capable of receiving and batch transporting 150,000 b/d, the pipeline will provide takeaway capacity for crude producers in the Denver-Julesburg basin.

NGL is holding the open season to re-contract available capacity on the pipeline as capacity contracted during a 2016 open season is again available following shipper bankruptcies and related contract terminations (OGJ Online, July 7, 2016).

The open season will close on Aug. 9.
