Eni SpA has let an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract to TechnipFMC for the Coral North development offshore Mozambique.

TechnipFMC will manufacture and install flexible flowlines and risers, as well as install subsea manifolds and umbilicals.

Eni reached a final investment decision (FID) to develop Coral North in deepwater offshore Cabo Delgado in October 2025. Gas produced from the northern part of Area’s 4 Coral gas reservoir in Rovuma basin will be processed through the FLNG vessel in 2,000 m of water. The company expects to deliver the Coral North project in 2028.

The Coral North project is being developed by a joint venture formed by Eni (50%), CNPC (20%), Kogas (10%), ENH (10%), and ADNOC subsidiary XRG (10%).
