Serinus Energy PLC has appointed Stuart Morrison as chief operating officer.
Morrison has over 34 years of oil and gas industry operational experience in numerous senior management roles. Early in his career he worked as a Petroleum and Reservoir Engineer with BP Research, British Gas, Sun Oil, and Oryx Energy UK prior to joining Premier Oil in 1997. At Premier, Morrison assumed a variety of positions such as chief petroleum engineer, business development manager, and exploration manager.
Serinus holds 100% working interest in the Satu Mare concession in Romania, which lies on a prolific oil and gas trend in the Eastern Pannonian basin. Satu Mare possesses different plays that are actively producing along the same trend, including: shallow amplitude-supported gas reservoirs; conventional siliciclastic oil reservoirs; and fractured-basement oil and gas reservoirs. Moftinu gas field (discovered by Serinus in 2014) was brought onto production in April 2019.
The company also holds interest in five concessions in Tunisia that comprise development and exploration assets. The company currently produces oil and gas in Tunisia through various working interests in two of the five concessions.
