Centalion acquires Haynesville gas assets from Silver Hill

Silver Hill Energy is currently producing about 300 MMcfd from the Texas and Louisiana assets.

Centalion Group, formerly Gunvor Group Ltd., has acquired upstream and midstream natural gas assets spanning Texas and Louisiana from Silver Hill Energy Partners.

Dallas-based Silver Hill Energy Partners' Haynesville and Bossier position produces about 300 MMcfd net from roughly 72,000 net acres and includes about 300 gross operated development locations.

Silver Hill assembled most of the position through acquisitions completed between late 2021 and mid-2023. The assets include expanded midstream and saltwater-disposal capacity, long-term gathering and transportation agreements, and flow-assurance infrastructure.

The acquisition advances Centalion's Gulf Coast natural gas strategy and follows the company's financial backing of Western Natural Resources' acquisition of Haynesville gas-producing assets earlier this year, the company said.

Earlier this month, Gunvor's employee shareholders approved renaming the company Centalion Group Ltd. and relocating its corporate headquarters to Singapore from Cyprus.

Following the sale, Silver Hill's remaining operated portfolio in the Bakken and Eagle Ford includes about 115,000 net acres, roughly 1,000 gross drilling locations, 22,000 boe/d of production, and two midstream businesses.
