Saber Midstream LLC, an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners LLC and Cutlass Energy Partners LLC, Houston, agreed to acquire a natural gas gathering system in the Haynesville basin of Louisiana and Texas from an undisclosed seller.
The system lies in Caddo Parish, La., and Harrison County, Tex. and is situated to access transportation to supply markets in Louisiana and Texas, including growing liquefied natural gas (LNG) export markets, ArcLight said in a release Mar. 22.
The system, with a nominal capacity of up to 1.2 bcfd, was constructed in 2020-2022 and includes solar/battery powered meters to minimize emissions, the company continued.
The Cutlass team will manage Saber Midstream and the operations of the acquired system.
The transaction will be supported by a long-term gathering agreement that includes an acreage dedication and minimum volume commitment from an upstream affiliate of the seller, ArcLight said. Closing, subject to certain conditions and regulatory approval, is expected in the coming weeks.
