MARKET WATCH: NYMEX front-month oil contract ends month lower

The light, sweet crude contract for December on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 88¢ to $54.18/bbl on Oct. 31. The January contract decreased 85¢ to settle at $54.25/bbl.

The light, sweet crude contract for December on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 88¢ to $54.18/bbl on Oct. 31. The January contract decreased 85¢ to settle at $54.25/bbl.

The NYMEX natural gas price for December fell 5.8¢ to a rounded $2.63/MMbtu. The January contract was down 4.9¢ to a rounded $2.73/MMbtu.

Ultralow-sulfur diesel for November fell nearly 3.6¢ to a rounded $1.88/gal. The NYMEX reformulated gasoline blendstock for November lost 3.3¢ to a rounded $1.63/gal.

Brent crude oil for December was unchanged at $60.61/bbl on London’s International Commodity Exchange. The January contract fell 62¢ to $59.62/bbl.

The gas oil contract for November was $567/tonne on Oct. 31, down $15.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of crudes for Oct. 31 was unavailable because the OPEC secretariat was closed Nov. 1.
