Baytex Energy Corp. and Raging River Exploration Inc., both of Calgary, received shareholder approval to merge.
The combined oil-weighted company would hold assets across North America (OGJ Online, June 18, 2018).
The transaction also received approval from the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
The deal is expected to close on Aug. 22.
