Oil benchmark prices traded mixed on Dec. 3 with light, sweet crude oil prices rising on the New York market while Brent crude oil prices dropped slightly in London.
Light, sweet crude oil prices on the New York market for January rose 14¢ to settle at $56.10/bbl on Dec. 3 while the February contract gained 12¢ to settle at $56.03/bbl.
NYMEX natural gas for January rose 11¢ to settle at $2.44/MMbtu.
Ultralow-sulfur diesel for January was down less than 1¢ to a rounded $1.88/gal. The NYMEX reformulated gasoline blendstock for January dipped 1¢ to $1.56/gal.
Brent crude for February fell a rounded 11¢ to settle at $60.82/bbl. The March price decreased 12¢ to settle at $60.11/bbl.
The gas oil contract for December fell $5.00 to $570.00/tonne on Dec. 3.
The average for OPEC’s basket of crudes was $62.57/bbl on Dec. 3, up 7¢.
