Equinor Energy AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill in production license 554 in the North Sea.
Wildcat wells 34/6-6 S and 34/6-6 A will be drilled by Transocean Spitsbergen semisubmersible drilling rig owned by Transocean Services AS.
Equinor is operator of the license with 40% interest. Partners are Aker BP ASA (30%) and Vår Energi ASA (30%).
