Equinor granted permit for North Sea drilling

Equinor Energy AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate to drill in the North Sea.

Exploration wells 34/8-20 S and 34/8-20 A, both in production license 554 E, will be drilled in August by the COSLInnovator semisubmersible drilling rig.

Equinor is operator of the license with 40% interest. Partners are Vår Energi ASA and Aker BP ASA, each with 30%.
