Aker BP exercised the option to assign two additional firm wells to Odfjell Drilling Ltd.’s Deepsea Nordkapp rig work scope.
Work on the newly exercised wells will begin in direct continuation of the current firm contract period and are expected to keep the rig occupied late into third-quarter 2024. The contract value for the exercised wells is estimated by the service provider at $60 million (excluding any integrated services).
The rig is currently drilling production well 6507/5-A-3 AH on Skarv field for the company (OGJ Online, Aug. 29, 2022).
