Sarawak Shell Bhd/Sabah Shell Petroleum Co. Ltd. has let a contract to Velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd for jack up drilling rig services for work offshore Malaysia.
NAGA 4 is an independent-leg cantilever jack up drilling rig that has a 30,000 ft drilling depth capability and rated operating water depth of 400 ft.
The contract is for seven wells with an expected start date between Aug. 15 and Oct. 15.
Velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Velesto Malaysian Ventures Sdn Bhd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Velesto Energy Bhd.
