The worldwide rig count for November was 2,266 units, down 5 from the 2,271 rigs counted in October, and up 209 from the 2,057 rigs counted in November 2017.

The average US rig count for November was 1,077, up 15 from the 1,062 counted in October, and up 166 from the 911 counted in November 2017.

Europe is down 8 rigs to reach 83 in November and up 2 units year-over-year.

Latin America is down 4 units from the previous month at 189 and up 8 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is up 1 unit during the month to 222, but up 9 units from its year-ago average.

The Middle East is down 10 units month-over-month at 394, but 16 units above its year-ago average.

The average Canadian rig count for November was 198, up 6 units from the 192 counted in October, and down 6 from the 204 counted a year ago.
