NorthRiver Midstream acquires Enbridge’s Canadian midstream business

Enbridge Inc. has closed on an agreement through which Enbridge has sold a number of federally-regulated natural gas gathering and processing assets in British Columbia (G&P Business) to Brookfield Infrastructure Dec. 31. The assets represent the second phase of the $4.3 billion (Can.) transaction announced in July 2018.

The Canadian midstream business, named NorthRiver Midstream Inc. under Brookfield's ownership, includes 19 provincially and federally-regulated natural gas processing facilities with total operating processing capacity of 3.3 bcfd and 3,550 km of natural gas gathering pipelines across the Montney region of British Columbia and Alberta with connectivity to markets including the US Pacific Northwest, US Midwest, and Western Canada.
