Glenfarne Group LLC affiliate Texas LNG Brownsville LLC in late July received the final supplemental environmental impact statement (FSEIS) from the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the 4-million tpy Texas LNG plant under development in the Port of Brownsville, Tex.

The FSEIS concludes FERC staff analysis of air quality and environmental justice matters raised before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Glenfarne said in an early August release.

Texas LNG’s FERC Final Order is expected in November. Glenfarne said Texas LNG is still targeting a final investment decision by end-2025.

Texas LNG has secured customer offtake commitments from EQT Corp., Gunvor Group, Macquarie Group, and a large European utility “in a volume sufficient for achieving final investment decision,” the company said.

Kiewit is leading the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor of Texas LNG under a lump-sum turnkey structure.
