Texas LNG Brownsville LLC, a subsidiary of Glenfarne Energy Transition LLC, has signed a heads of agreement (HOA) with Gunvor Group Ltd., through Gunvor Singapore Pte Ltd., for a 20-year Free-on-Board (FOB) sale and purchase agreement for 0.5 million tonnes/year (tpy) of LNG from its 4-million tonne/year (tpy) LNG plant being developed at the Port of Brownsville, Tex.
Texas LNG has commenced the project financing process and a final investment decision (FID) is expected this year, the company noted in its Mar. 18 release.
Texas LNG recently signed an LNG tolling agreement with EQT Corp. and has partnered with Baker Hughes, ABB, and Gulf LNG Tugs of Texas, moving the project closer to construction, expected to begin later this year, the company said (OGJ Online, Jan. 12, 2024).
Commercial operations are expected to begin in 2028.
