HOUSTON, June 16
– Lynden Energy Corp., Vancouver, BC, said the first well has been spudded on its Mitchell Ranch project in West Texas and a second well is to spud in early July.

The project targets Permo-Pennsylvanian-aged detrital targets along the Permian basin eastern shelf in numerous pay zones no deeper than 8,000 ft (OGJ Online, June 2, 2010).

Meanwhile, the fifth well on Lynden’s Wolfberry project in West Texas reached its target depth of 9,150 ft. Wolfberry completion is to start next week, and secondary targets are being evaluated for completion.
