– Dejour Enterprises Ltd., Calgary, reported two oil and gas discoveries at its 75% owned Woodrush project in the Peace River arch area of northeastern British Columbia.

The two wells were drilled based on preliminary interpretation of 3D seismic program shot and processed in the winter drilling season.

The A-A91-H/94-H-02 well was drilled to 4,000 ft and cut 8 m of Gething sand with 14% porosity. It flowed gas for 4 hr at rates as high as 950 Mcfd during cleanup operations and is to go on production by month’s end at a rate estimated by management to be in excess of 1 MMcfd.

The A-1-I/94-H-02 well also went to 4,000 ft on a separate feature north of Dejour’s Halfway discovery in the D-91-H well. H-02 encountered 5 m of Halfway sand section with 21-24% porosity with a log calculated 80% oil saturation. Logs also indicated the presence of a productive Gething section above the Halfway. Tests are pending.

More wells are to be drilled later this year after seismic interpretation is refined.
