BW Energy names new COO, CFO

BW Energy has named Brice Morlot as chief operating officer and Thomas Young as chief financial officer.

Morlot joined BW Energy in 2024 as the company’s chief financial officer. He succeeds Lin Espey, who stepped down as chief operating offer in July.

Young, previously BW Energy’s chief strategy officer, has been part of the company since inception, the company said in its release Sept. 17.

BW Energy holds interests in Gabon, Brazil, and Namibia, as well as interest Reconnaisance Energy Africa Ltd. The company aims to increase its overall production to about 90,000 b/d in 2028.
