Vår Energi names new CEO, current CEO to transition to COO

Vår Energi has made changes to its senior management team.

Nick Walker will become chief executive officer of the company, effective Sept. 5. The company’s current chief executive officer, Torger Rød, will become chief operating officer. Rød has served as the company’s chief executive since 2021 after 22 years with Equinor Energy AS (OGJ Online, Jan. 8, 2021).

Walker most recently served as chief executive officer of Lundin Energy until mid-2022 when it was acquired by Aker BP. He has previously worked with BP, Talisman Energy, Africa Oil, and Vedanta – Cairn Oil & Gas. He has 30 years of international experience in technical, commercial, and executive leadership roles.
