Canada Energy Regulator CEO accepts 6-year term

The Canada Energy Regulator (CER) has appointed Tracy Sletto to the role of chief executive officer for a 6-year term that began Dec. 15, 2023.

The Canada Energy Regulator (CER) has appointed Tracy Sletto to the role of chief executive officer for a 6-year term that began Dec. 15, 2023.

Sletto has acted as the chief executive officer for the past 5 months, CER said in a late December release.

She joined the CER in 2011 with experience in governance, strategic planning, policy development, finance, strategic communications, and public administration. She has served in a variety of roles at the CER, including executive vice-president, people, innovation and results and chief financial officer; executive vice-president, transparency and strategic engagement; executive vice-president, regulatory; and several vice-president roles.

Before joining the CER, she worked with the federal department of Western Economic Diversification Canada.
