SDX Energy Plc has appointed Yvon Quillien to the position of chief operating officer.
Quillien holds over 35 years of industry experience, including 31 years with Shell in multiple operational, technical, HSE, and commercial roles. He held leadership roles in Shell's West African and Asian businesses and served as part of the Shell Leadership team for the Kashagan project in Kazakhstan. He joined SDX in March 2022 as Morocco Country Manager.
SDX Energy’s portfolio contains interests in six concessions in Egypt and Morocco. In Egypt, SDX has a working interest in two producing assets: a 55% operated interest in the South Disouq concession in the Nile Delta and a 50% non-operated interest in the West Gharib concession onshore in the Eastern Desert adjacent to the Gulf of Suez. In Morocco, SDX has a 75% operated working interest in four exploration permits, all in the Gharb basin.
