Horizon Oil Ltd., Sydney, has appointed Richard Beament as managing director and chief executive officer, effective July 1, 2022.
He succeeds Christopher Hodge, who will step down from the role July 1. Hodge will assist with the transition of his executive responsibilities until Oct. 31, 2022.
Beament currently serves as the company’s chief financial officer, a position he’s held since July 2018.
In other changes, Gavin Douglas will assume the role of chief operating officer, having previously held the position of group general manager of production and exploration. He is a geologist with over 25 years of oil and gas experience, having joined Horizon in 2014.
Kyle Keen will assume the role of chief financial officer. He has held the positions of group financial controller and assistant company secretary. He joined Horizon in 2018.
Vasilios (Vas) Margiankakos will assume the role of company secretary, as well as continuing his role as Horizon’s group tax manager. He joined the company in 2017.
Horizon holds non-operated interests in conventional oil production in China and New Zealand.
