BLM seeks comments on planned Montana, North Dakota lease sale

The US Bureau of Land Management opened a 15-day public comment period on Aug. 10 for a proposed oil and gas lease sale of parcels in 20 Montana counties as well as 1 in western North Dakota. Comments will be accepted through Aug. 24, officials in the agency’s Billings, Mont., field office said.

The US Bureau of Land Management opened a 15-day public comment period on Aug. 10 for a proposed oil and gas lease sale of parcels in 20 Montana counties as well as 1 in western North Dakota. Comments will be accepted through Aug. 24, officials in the agency’s Billings, Mont., field office said.

Comments are being sought regarding issues and potential impacts described in the environmental assessment regarding the parcels in the following Montana counties: Beaverhead, Big Horn, Blaine, Carbon, Custer, Dawson, Fallon, Glacier, Lewis and Clark, Madison, Meagher, Musselshell, Park, Petroleum, Roosevelt, Rosebud, Sheridan, Sweet Grass, Toole, and Valley.

The North Dakota parcels are in Bowman County.
