Petromais Global Exploração e Produção SA has been approved to acquire all of Petrobras’s interest in a set of seven onshore and shallow water concessions (Alagoas Cluster) in the state of Alagoas, Brazil, for $300 million.

Petromais Global Exploração e Produção SA (Petro+) has been approved to acquire all of Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras)’s interest in a set of seven onshore and shallow water concessions (Alagoas Cluster) in the state of Alagoas, Brazil, for $300 million.

The cluster comprises seven production concessions—six onshore (Anambé, Arapaçu, Cidade de São Miguel dos Campos, Furado, Pilar, and São Miguel dos Campos) and the Paru field concession in water depth of 24 m (OGJ Online, Oct. 16, 2020).

Average production from the assets January to May 2021 was 1,900 b/d of oil and condensate and 602,000 cu m of gas, generating 900 b/d of NGL.

In addition to the fields and their production infrastructure, the deal includes the Natural Gas Processing Unit of Alagoas, with processing capacity of 2 million cu m/d, which is responsible for processing 100% of the cluster gas and generating NGL.

Currently, the Petro+ Group operates nine concessions in the Espírito Santo, Potiguar, Recôncavo, and Tucano Sul basins.

Closing of the transaction is subject to conditions, including approval by the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP).
