Petrobras starts binding phase of Alagoas cluster sale

Petrobras has commenced the binding phase regarding the sale of its entire stake in a set of seven onshore and shallow water concessions (Alagoas cluster) in Alagoas, Brazil.

Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has commenced the binding phase regarding the sale of its entire stake in a set of seven onshore and shallow water concessions (Alagoas cluster) in Alagoas, Brazil.

Potential buyers qualified for this phase will receive a process letter with detailed instructions on the divestment process, including guidelines for due diligence and the submission of binding proposals.

The cluster comprises production concessions Anambé, Arapaçu, Cidade de São Miguel dos Campos, Furado, Paru, Pilar, and São Miguel dos Campos. Paru field lies in shallow waters of 24 m. The other fields are onshore.

Average production from the cluster from January to September 2020 was 2,300 b/d of oil and condensate and 878,000 cu m/d of gas, generating a total of 1,100 b/d of NGL.

In addition to the fields and their production facilities, the 2 million cu m/d Natural Gas Processing Unit of Alagoas is included in the transaction.
