Mubadala unit gains additional interest in Gulf of Thailand concession

MP G1 (Thailand) Ltd., a subsidiary of Mubadala Petroleum Ltd., has officially gained additional interest in the G1/48 concession in the Gulf of Thailand, which includes its operated Manora oil field production area.

Northern Gulf Petroleum agreed in March to transfer its 10% interest, partner Tap Oil Ltd. said in a Dec. 8 release.

The relevant supplementary concession agreement was officially executed by all concessionaires on Sept. 16 and has been executed by the Minister of Energy.

MP G1 (Thailand) Ltd. is operator with 70% interest. Tap Energy (Thailand) Pty Ltd. holds the remaining 30%.
