Brunei Shell Petroleum has let a brownfield services contract to Aker Solutions, in a joint venture with PTAS Sdn Bhd, for offshore maintenance and modification services in Brunei.
Scope of the 5-year contract covers maintenance and upgrades to maintain production levels for more than 200 offshore assets in the South China Sea.
Work will be managed from PTAS Aker Solutions Sdn Bhd's office in Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam.
Aker Solutions currently employs more than 340 people in Brunei and manages 2,300 though local subcontractors. The company will book order intake of about 4 billion kroner in this year’s first quarter.
