Conrad Asia Energy Ltd.'s majority-owned subsidiary West Natuna Exploration Ltd. has let an engineering, procurement, construction, and transport contract to PT PAL Indonesia for the conductor support frame (CSF) for Mako gas field in the Duyung production-sharing contract (PSC) in the Natuna Sea, offshore Indonesia, partner Empyrean Energy PLC said on June 22.
The contract covers all detailed engineering required to update the front-end engineering and design (FEED) study, completion of the full CSF design, and delivery of transportation and installation engineering. PT PAL will fabricate and assemble the jacket and topsides structures and transport them to the field.
The Mako Project will initially comprise six development wells tied back to a leased mobile offshore production unit (MOPU). Sales gas will be transported via a 59-km, 18-in. pipeline to the KF platform in the adjoining Kakap PSC, then onto the WNTS pipeline for delivery to the Indonesian domestic market.
Total capital expenditure to first gas is estimated at $320 million.
West Natuna Exploration is operator of the Duyung PSC.
