Saudi Aramco has let two offshore contracts to Saipem under its existing long-term agreement.

The second contract (CRPO 155) includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) for four water injection wellheads, as well as associated subsea facilities, also at Safaniya oil field.

For the offshore operations, Saipem will employ its construction vessels that are currently deployed in the region.

The fabrication activities related to the projects will be executed at Saipem’s Saudi Fabrication Yard by Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators Co. Ltd.

The contracts follow an EPCI award for a 48-in. trunkline for the field.

Safaniyah field lies about 260 km north of Dhahran. Most of the field lies offshore in the Arabian Gulf. Within the Concession area, Safaniyah field is about 50 km long and 15 km wide.
