PetroChina discovered oil in China’s northwest Xinjiang region in the Tarim basin, according to local media reports. With its Manshen-1 well, China’s largest oil company discovered a regional fault zone, which contains over 200 million tons of oil resources, reports said. The discovery, after testing, flowed 624 cu m of crude oil and 371,000 cu m of natural gas.
