The United Arab Emirates Vice-President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emir of Dubai, reported the agreement in a tweet Feb. 3, noting the find is one of the “largest gas fields discovered between Abu Dhabi and Dubai with 80 trillion cubic feet of reserves.”
Neither a timeframe for development nor estimated project costs were disclosed.
