ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has let a contract to Aker Solutions ASA for Eldfisk North development in the Norwegian North Sea. The field, in PL 018, will be developed as a subsea satellite, tied back to the Eldfisk complex.

The contract scope covers a complete subsea production system including 13 standardized vertical subsea trees, wellheads, control systems, three six-slot templates with integrated manifolds, and associated services. Work starts immediately and will involve Aker Solutions' facilities in Brazil, Malaysia, Norway, and the UK. Final deliveries are scheduled for 2024.

Eldfisk, discovered in 1970, lies south of Ekofisk field. It is the second largest of three producing fields in the Greater Ekofisk area, and one of the largest on the Norwegian continental shelf. Water depth is 70 m with the reservoir located at depths of about 2,500-3,000 m below the seafloor.

ConocoPhillips is operator of the license (35.112%) with partners Equinor Energy AS (7.604%), Petoro AS (5%), Total E&P Norge AS (39.896%), and Vår Energi (12.388%).
