Aker BP granted North Sea drilling permit

Aker BP ASA has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 2/1-17 S in production license 019 C in the North Sea.

Aker BP ASA has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 2/1-17 S in production license 019 C in the North Sea.

The well will be drilled about 10 km southeast of Gyda field using the Maersk Interceptor ultra-harsh environment jack up rig.

This is the first well to be drilled in the license. The area in PL 019 C consists of parts of Block 2/1.

Aker BP ASA is operator with 80%. Partner is MOL Norge AS 20%.
