1947 Oil & Gas increases Gulf of Mexico production
1947 Oil & Gas plc has increased production in its Gulf of Mexico leases.
Production was restored in late-September 2026 at Eugene Island 331 following an extended shut-in period due to repairs in a downstream condensate gathering installation, with the field—81% oil weighted—now producing 1,200 boe/d gross and about 1,000 boe/d net.
Production also increased in Ship Shoal 198 field due to a recent workover campaign ahead of closing the Renaissance transaction at the end of September 2026. Production of this asset has increased to 1,275 boe/d gross, 1,060 boe/d net, after averaging 545 boe/d net in first-half 2026, the company said.
1947 Oil & Gas additionally confirmed it has been awarded West Delta 133 and South Timbalier 314 in the Gulf of Mexico by the Marine Minerals Administration (MMA). The acreage will add 10,000 gross acres to the portfolio.
1947 Oil & Gas is a newly formed oil and gas production company focused on aggregating and redeveloping assets at the US Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico.
